Could you please let me know the version of Lightroom installed on your computer ?
Also which operating system are you working on , Windows or MAC ?
Please attach a screen shot of the images that appear in Lightroom if possible.

A color cast to the photo and the histogram area is surely a bad display profile probably from the monitor manufacturer.
Use the Color Management area to set the display profile to sRGB, instead, and run through the Windows Calibration after that, not before.
I have figured out the issue - I had to reload the program on the new computer. Not sure if it incorrectly loaded the first time or what but now it is working.
I seem to have the same problem. New laptop with Windows 10. I was using Lightroom 5 before and downloaded the latest version (5.7.1 64 bit).
When I look in the import screen (regardless of whether I am importing pictures that came with the catalog or new pictures), the colors are absolutely fine. Once I move to the Library or Develop screen, the pictures and the rest of screen take a pink cast. Where the histogram should be grey, it shows pink. (see attached screen cap).
I have downloaded again Lightroom but sadly this has not solved the problem so far. Any thoughts?
You have a defective monitor profile - the cast in the histogram is a clear indication of that.
Press the Windows key+R, enter colorcpl, and press Enter.
Add the sRGB profile, then set it as Default profile. See screenshot (from Windows 7) below.
If setting it to sRGB fixes the problem, you should ideally calibrate the monitor with a hardware calibrator.
Awesome. It worked. Thanks!
