I am building an application that uses a flex 3 front end with a .NET C# webservices backend. The application will be something that customers will download and install/configure themselves. As such, I can't anticipate exactly where the webservices will end up (as the client will install them). The problem is, how do I point the flex front end to the webservices if I don't know where the webservice will be in advance? - remember this is something the customer will set up and install, so it needs to be configurable in the flex app or i need to somehow glean the location of the webservices from the server that serves up the swf to the client. The web services and flex GUI will co-exist in the same directory on the webserver if that helps. Can anyone suggest some customer friendly options for this?
