I have a document with a number of layers, and want to 'find font' and change font thoughout just that layer. But even with the other layers locked and hidden Indesign wants to search within these layers, which I do not want to change.
Is there a way to 'find font' and change the font, without it searching through the other layers? Unfortunately, it is not like 'find/change' where you can specify locked or non-locked layers.
I have found absolutely nothing about this out there.
Thanks for any help,
Is the text on these layers unique in any way, such as language applied or styles used? If you can isolate the text that way you can use Find/Change instead.
Good point. Looking closer into find/change I didn't realise you could specify a font (that was 'unique' enough so it seems ). Somehow I was thinking you could only search paragraph and character styles.
Thanks for opening my eyes
