What operating system are you running the programs on?
Are you using a new catalog or are you trying to update one from an older version of the program? if the latter, which version of the program are you updating?
Did the Organizer ever work for you and suddenly stop?

Windows 10 64, worked fine for several months but when I came back from holiday it just freezes when I try to open it.

Are you saying that you've been using Windows 10 for months and Premiere Elements 14 worked fine -- then suddenly stopped?
Have you ensured you have all of the updates for Windows 10 and Premiere Elements installed and that you've got the latest version of Quicktime?
Have you run Malware Bytes, Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter?
Programs generally don't just stop working on their own. This is usually an indication that some major change (or infection) has occurred on your computer.
Found it. In view there is a way to turn off photo display and it was off. Now it works again.Thanks
