I've recently created an interactive PDF with lots of interactive buttons used to reveal bits of information. I found this was working well but as I got to a certain point the buttons stopped working when exported (yes, I'm exporting as an interactive PDF) and I'm left with a document that has some of the buttons seemingly inactive. I have checked and double checked the process and I have not done anything differently in the inactive buttons.
Is there a maximum number of buttons that a PDF will support?
There are lots of discussions here about that. For the most part, the more complex the project, the less reliable it will be in a PDF. The consensus is to use Publish Online instead. After doing a project recently with dozens of buttons, the only way I could get it to work properly was using Publish Online. An interactive PDF had tons of issues with button reliability, layering issues, and general frustration.
Thanks, both useful insights.
Joet, I'm currently waiting for an upgrade to CC (from CS 5.5) so will try this as soon as I get on the cloud... looks very interesting!
