Thanks Adobe...I need to get my 68 page document to the printer at 9 AM...took a break and closed the file and when I opened it, it wasn't syncing the fonts. Went to Creative Cloud and noticed the update and ran it, rebooted just in case, and now it keeps crashing my file every time I try to open it. Preflight had no errors before the update, then the fonts synced and there were no errors again, but it crashes when I try to print or scroll towards the end. Obviously, something is corrupted...good luck to me getting it to the printer...it's going to be a long night!
Please email your InDesign file to email@example.com. We will take a look at the document.
If the file is larger than 10 Mb, you can zip (and password protect) the file and upload to Creative Cloud account (or Dropbox) and send us the document link.
Seems like a text frame is in a bad composition state. Try doing a ‘force composition’ after opening the document. To force a composition use the following shortcut - Mac: Command-Option-/ (slash) or Windows: Ctrl-Alt-slash
Thank you very much! It was a text overflow that I had fixed several times, but I guess when it crashed it would come back with it, but would crash before I could fix it again. What a great tip! I don't kno !w why Adobe never shares the easy fixes on its website...glad I was feeling bitchy this morning and complained. You were super fast, and I really appreciate it.
FYI: I wrote a short blog post on the new features in InDesign CC 2015.3 which is now posted on InDesignSecrets.com:
I have updated to Indesign 2015.3 but find the program wont open, it gets to the same point of loading and crashes with the box "Indesign has stopped working" box appearing.
Is this an issue with 2015.3 other people are finding?
