I'm trying to create a simple cutout animation using classic tweening in Animate CC. The problem is that every time I try to change the pivot point of an object (e.g. I move the pivot point of a character's arm to the shoulder) the tweening gets messed up and I end up with arms flying off of the body. I'm pretty inexperienced with using anything but frame-by-frame in Animate, so if anyone knows what I have to do to fix this I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!
You may have noticed an error in the Output window that says that changing pivot points can cause unexpected behavior. You'll need to find another way to get what you want. If you're animating for video, SWF, or AIR, switch to an AS3 FLA, then you can do what you want. It's just HTML5 FLAs that have the limitation.
Unfortunately, the issue I'm having was originally in an AS3. I did a quick trial in HTML5 after reading your answer just to see if it was somehow different, and I am getting the same result. I'll just have to try to find another way, like you said.
