I have a clip where the talent is walking along a path in the background (filmed in front of a green screen). I currently have the scale going from about 70% to 90% over a couple seconds to make it look like the actress is following the path. However, her feet seem to slide along the path. I am looking for how to make it look more realistic. I am a moderate after effects and premiere user, so I am willing to try some more advanced effects if needed. Any suggestions?
No magic. Just lots of extra keyframes. Changing the depth and scale is not a linear function, but rather exponential/ tied to the cosine of the lens. You just need to tweak it a lot more, which ultimately is the point with any form of character animation.
Is there a formula for calculating the rate and where to put the key frames? Just trying to avoid having to spend hours in trial and error.
