There is a plug-in that allows you to import photos from Aperture Library.
Access it as follows: File > Plug-in Extras > Import From Aperture Library.
Did you try that?
The following link has more details: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/aperture-import-plug-in-lightroom-faq.html
Thanks,

Hi Adam,
Yes, it will work and you would be able to import all the images from Aperture to Lightroom. Now you need to understand that Lightroom doesn't store your images like aperture, it only imports the smart preview for the images so you can edit on it and export the image out.
Refer: Aperture Import plug-in for Lightroom FAQ
Let us know if that helps.

Mohit

3. Re: Aperture Importer - Plugin no longer available or just not for trial users?
adamr91329406 Mar 16, 2016 12:03 PM (in response to Sunil_Bhaskaran)Thanks, Sunil, but my problem is that now after the upgrade to El Capitan, Aperture will no longer open. It has the extremely unhelpful crossed out icon in my applications folder. I need to be able to extract the photos from Aperture and pull them into a new tool.

adamr91329406 Mar 16, 2016 12:04 PM (in response to Mohit Goyal)It looks like I'll need the full paid version of Lightroom in order to attempt this, not the trial version.

dj_paige Mar 16, 2016 12:07 PM (in response to adamr91329406)The trial version has 100% of the capabilities of the paid version, so if you can't get the trial to work for some reason, then you won't get the paid version to work either.

6. Re: Aperture Importer - Plugin no longer available or just not for trial users?
adamr91329406 Mar 16, 2016 5:05 PM (in response to Mohit Goyal)That's concerning. Does that mean my photos are locked in Aperture?
Here's what I see in terms of trying to make use of this plug-in:
Following the details on this page: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2014/10/aperture-import-plugin-now-available.html
I click on the link in this sentence: Creative Cloud members – please visit the Adobe Add-ons page here and follow the instructions to install:
And I get a screen (this URL: https://creative.adobe.com/addons/products/3213#.VDgVnynCMox) with this message in a big yellow box: The product you requested cannot be found. Either this product does not exist or this account does not have access.
Is it just a bad link? Is this plugin not available for the CC version of Lightroom? Like I said, if all this will be solved by paying $9.99/month to upgrade Lightroom, so be it. I'm just hoping someone can confirm that.

adamr91329406 Mar 16, 2016 9:47 PM (in response to adamr91329406)I bit the bullet and paid for the Lightroom CC subscription and the plugin worked fine. No issues at all.
