I've been having sporadic success with this. dng files don't appear alongside of the jpg copies the s7 takes right away if at all...until I reboot my phone.
I didn't have any problem when I first started using the raw mode on my phone, so I keep wondering if it was an app update or a feature I enabled (like auto synchronizing photos with a cloud service) that caused the problem.
The good news is that when it works, it shows just how valuable having raw as an option for phone photos can be. .
I'm having the same issue. When I choose "Add Photos" they don't even show up next to the jpgs in the folder. I can see that they are there using a file explorer.
As Akira3D says, rebooting the phone seems to fix it, but I'd hate to have to do that every time.
Yeah, you won't see the "missing" dng files unless you use a file browser. Gallery just displays the jpg...that said, if you delete the jpg from Gallery, it takes the dng with it.
Aside from creating a shortcut, has anyone figured out how to force the camera to default to Pro mode? I'd ideally like my camera to always be in Pro mode unless otherwise specified...especially so I can launch the camera in Pro mode using the quick launch feature.
The other thing is that I've had RAW get disabled on a couple of occasions...very annoying when you learn you actually do NOT have DNG files when you expect to have them.
Discovered a better workaround...and, so far, it works consistently. Always take a sacrificial photo...one that you will delete from your phone's camera roll. After you delete the photo, the dngs should show up when you go to "add photo" in Lightroom Mobile.
