    background eraser

      Hi,

I've seen in other programs the ability to erase the background of an image. Is there a way to do that in FW?? I have a photo of a product and I want to easily get rid of the background.

      Thanks in advance.

          Debi,

          Here is a good tutorial:

While I definitely like FW vector capabilities, in my opinion they are not
always easy to use to mask the object. Don't know what your "product" look
like; if it looks like a box, FW vectors would be perfect; in fact, even
if looks a bit more complicated but still have sort of "simple geometry"
shape, vectors will do fine. The biggest problem is something like human
hair over textured background. For that, FW is not sufficient. Personally,
I'm starting to evaluate a new plugin from http://www.imageskill.com/ and
see how helpful it could be. So far, results are not bad. At list the
plugin is much better then their site ;-) Actually, I dealt with the
developers long ago and I know that they definitely know something about
image processing math, that's why I paid some attention to their first
independent project. On the other side, I feel like a couple of features
are missing in this plugin, so it's my turn to torture plugin developers
            with feature requests :-)))
