I don't know if this is the problem. But as a general rule, there needs to be approximately 20% free disk space on any hard drive, any size. Considering the information you have provided, it appears that you are at that amount of free disk space. You might want to try using an external hard drive to see if that solves the problem.
I don't think that is the issue. I've had this computer less than a year, and my other pc ran just fine when there was only50gb of space left. I still have over 500 gb of space left, that is a huge amount. There is lots of chatter on the forums about the same issue. So I would appreciate other feedback please. Thank you Jim
What are you trying to import?? From what to where?? It sounds like it could be an issue with a card reader or some such thing..
Many lockups, freezing, not responding issues are caused by graphics cards and drivers.
(I once had BSODs caused by Nvidia card driver problems)
