    background music

    me000
I'm trying to add some background music to a multimedia CV im making, but how can i get the music to keep playing when the user moves to a 'new page.' At the moment the music plays at the beginning then as soon as a button is pressed it stops.

      Thanks.

          Hi,

How are you activating the music? If you start it via Lingo, then it should
continue to play regardless of whether you jump around the Score. So, in the frame
where you want the music to start, you can write:
          on exitFrame
          puppetSound 1, "nameOfMusicMemeber"
          end
The above will play 'nameOfMusicMemeber' in sound channel 1.

If you've placed the sound in channel 1 or 2 in the Score, then simply stretch it
over all the frames you want the sound to play. As long as there is no break in the
sound sprite, it should not stop playing if you jump from one frame to another.

If the above does not work, maybe it's something in he scripting of your button
behavior. Let me know what the button behavior is specifying.

I hope the above helps. Let me know if it solves your problem or if it persists.

              Hi,

It is most likely because of the button behavior that activates sound. What you should be doing is playing your background sound in one channel
and the button sound in another. So, if you sound is in channel 1 of the Score, when you set the button behavior to play its sound, make sure it's
              in channel 2 or higher.

I hope that is clear. Once again, let me know if it doesn't help you resolve the issue.
