It could be any number of reasons.
First step in troubleshooting: Can you output in ISO file to your hard drive of your DVD?
Yes I can. When I select disk it selects the correct dvd burner. Then it starts to burn, then it ejects the DVD prematurely and says something has interrupted the burning. Just got a update as I am righting this, maybe it is a fix for my problem. Will let you know.
Tried the update but didn't help. I get the message DVD burn interrupted, something is preventing a successful burn, use the ISO image at the following location to burn your disk latter. Thanks for any help
Outputting an ISO means creating the DVD files to your hard drive. It should have no effect on your DVD and the process certainly shouldn't eject it.
So are you saying that can successfully create an ISO file or not?
Yes I can create an ISO file and burn a DVD using that file but I cannot burn a DVD when I select disk instead of using the 4.7 gb option.
At least you know you have a workaround.
Apparently another program has "stolen" the disc drive from Premiere Elements. The solution (that USUALLY but not always) works is to set the disc drive up for Royalty Activation.
1) Go to Local Disk C\Program Data\Adobe\Common\
2) Right-click on the Common folder and select Properties.
3) On this panel's Security tab, click Edit.
4) On the new panel that opens, select System, then OK to close the panels and re-open Premiere Elements.
I tried what you said but it didn't work. It gets to 98%, ejects the DVD and says DVD burn interrupted, something is preventing a successful burn. I guess I need more help. Thanks in advance.
Usually if that move doesn't fix it, nothing will.
I'd just surrender to doing the workaround. It has a number of advantages (that I go into in my book) and no disadvantages, other than that it takes a few more mouse clicks. It certainly takes no more time.
Ok, but I wished it worked like the 10 version did until I did a clean install of windows 10. I bought 14 because 10 wouldn't work either. Must be something in windows 10. Maybe Microsoft or Adobe will fix it. It should work the way it was intended to work. Thanks for your help.
Not much help from me, but just tosay that I have had this problem as well.
Don't Quite know how I fixed it, but its gone away.
But I did pay special attention to the burn menu,
Can you try burning the same project with any other disc? You can also try to burn the disc using any any other 3rd party software.
If it is working fine then you can get back to us.
