I was editing some newly uploaded photographs in LR the other day, when I noticed that the photo I was attempting to open was very pixelated. I then realised that the folder it was located in, along with most others on the external hard drive I store the photographs on, showed the ? for missing photographs. I shut down Lightroom and restarted the program, and was then greeted with a message that CC was missing and required reinstalling. I downloaded and reinstalled LR and PS CC, but now most of the folders, which are still available and readable on my external hard drive, are no longer listed in the catalogue list.
How do I restablish the folder catalogue library?
many thanks for any help.
1. >While starting Lightroom, hold down the Ctrl key (Win) or the Option key (Mac).
This will pop-up a dialog allowing you to choose recently used catalogs .
Select your catalog, check "Test the integrity of this catalog" and click Open
2. >If that does not help open a recent backup Lightroom.
Let us know if that help
Step one did not help, but step 2 did resolve the issue.
