Could you please explain what you are trying to do in more detail?
Yes, you can. You need to be very careful about brush size at the intersection points of characters, and you'll doubtlessly use multiple instances of Write-On to pull it off.
Basically what we want to do is an effect of a cursive font writing on, as it is looking like someone is hand writing it.
I attached a photo and a video of the font we want hand written on "A Look Back" to show you what we are trying to do.
Any other feedback would be most helpful!
See below.. Thank you!
There are a number of decent tutorials out there for this sort of thing. Maybe watch a couple and pick out some of the techniques that work best for you: https://www.google.com/search?q=signature+tutorial+after+effects
Thanks for your reply, but the tutorials that you listed are for the pen tool with signatures. We want to know if there is a way, to animate "Text" (as in a font) as it's being written on.
Thanks for your help!
The principle is the same as animating a signature. The difference is that you use the completed animation as a track matte to reveal your text.
Animating signatures can take a lot of time. So can this. It gets especially tricky where the lines of characters cross -- you have to be precise in your brush size.
