    Rounding image edges?

    Level 7
How do you round the edge of an image (jpg) in fireworks? I've looked up
tutorials but most of the tutorials seem to be a little long for something
      that seems so easy...

Place a white rounded rectangle on top of your image.
Select both your image and the rectangle (hold down the shift key)
Go to Modify, select Mask from the drop down menu, then Group as Mask.

            Peter,

Thanks that worked very easily. The only thing is I can't figure out why I
can't get it to keep the border once I group as mask.

Hi Chris, You can keep the border, or indeed add one if you don't already
              have one.

If you locate the layers panel, (Window>Layers if it's not showing).
You should see your image and a chain icon with your mask next to it.
Click on the mask icon with the tiny pen icon in the bottom right hand
              corner...
Now look in the Properties panel at the bottom of the page(at least mine
              is).
In the Mask section you will see two radio buttons, Grayscale appearance and
Path Outline and a check box, Show fill and stroke.

The default setting is Grayscale appearance, change this to Path outline and
check the Show fill and stroke box and your border should show up or you can
add one using the Property Inspector.

              Peter
