I'm working on an I Mac. I took several virtual copies op a picture to come to the wished result.
When I trie to export the virtual copie in order to get a JPEG of high resolution (all settings to JPEG 100%) he produces a file of +/- 400 KB??
JPEG size is affected by several things-
1. Pixel Size of the original image (Sensor size , cropped size )
2. The change from 16-bit (or camera 12-14bit) reduced to 8-bit JPG. 8 bit, 12 bit, 14 bit, 16 bit — What Does It Really Mean to Digital Photographers? | Laura Shoe's Lightroom Training, Tu…
3. The Compression amount (1-100, 1-12, low-high ) Jpeg Compression and the Lightroom Jpeg Quality Setting | Laura Shoe's Lightroom Training, Tutorials and Tips
4. The amount of detail in the image (empty sky, tree leaves, etc)
A brief experiment-
Open a new blank TIFF file in Photoshop 4000 x 3000 Pixels- Export as JPG and note the differences in file-size!
A BLANK IMAGE A DETAILED IMAGE (with a pattern)
TIFF 35,178 kB 35,178 kB
JPG High Quality 402 kB 1,884 kB
JPG Low Quality 76 kB 216 kB
Thanks for your reaction wobert!
I'm afraid the Raw file has become corrupt ... .
I'll trie to find a way out.
