You must be new to AE. Here are a few key points in the AE workflow. First only the Active Camera view will render. Any other view is just to help you set up the Active Camera view. Second, the standard default render settings for the Render Cue will give you best quality and Full Resolution and render the current work area.
The output module, the thing that determines the type of video you are rendering defaults to Lossless which is a huge file but it retains all of the image quality of the original and is the default for your production workflow. Lossless files will not playback in real time in a media player and will require rendering in Premiere Pro before they playback in real time.
Video is very complicated and you have to know and understand formats and workflows to be successful. Please go through some of the community resources available for rendering and working with Premiere Pro. There are many acceptable workflows but if you don't understand the process then you'll get fouled up every time.
Start here: Basic AE or type the subject you are having problems with in the Search Help field at the top right corner of AE to find community resources to help you learn one of the most complex and versatile apps ever written.
How does one export an AE composition so that it may be opened in Premier? Or Avid, if that's easier. The animated text plays fine in AE, but when it opens in Pr, it only plays the associated audio file, and there is no video layer included.
Is it possible to just export a quicktime for upload to youtube?
Oh, please don't assume that you know the ins & outs of AE just because you can run some software. Follow the links Rick gave you. You ABSOLUTELY NEED to learn the AE basics before you can do anything useful with it.
PS: Hi, Moderatrors! Must be a really slow day around the shop, huh?
