Just Google "How do I import iPhoto library into Lightroom" and you will see your answer at the top of the search results page.
Might be worth reading this - see link below. Re-arrange your images into folders that suit you and then import into Lightroom. Import a few folders at a time to make sure they are importing as you want them. If you import iPhotos you will end up with one huge folder and won't be able to find things.
I did find the other post after I posted this. I did follow someone's post to create folders in my Pictures folder and drag and drop the photos into each folder from my iPhoto events. This kept all my photos in subfolders. I just imported all photos and they all showed up in Lightroom in the same subfolders. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the input here. I wasn't comfortable downloading a zip file to transfer photos from some of the posts. I read the pdf reference material from Adobe and no instructions there. I just hope future downloads from my camera card don't have to be downloaded to iPhoto before I can import them. Or I will have to keep double downloading. I guess I will figure it out. Thanks again for posting.
