Hi jonholcombe ,
Please ensure that QuickTime and Lightroom CC are up to date.
What codec is your audio encoded wit h ?
What is the extension on the file, and what bitrate is the audio? Some of this information might be visible if you do a right-click File info.
Codec is H.264, Linear PCM. The movie settings in my D810 are 1920 x 1080, 60 FPS. There is no specific audio bitrate information setting, but the "Frequency Response" setting is "Wide".
I opened the file in Toast which states: audio is 16-bit, Stereo, 48000 Hz. Video is H.264/AVC, 1920 x 1080, 59.94 fps.
The audio plays perfectly in Quicktime.
The file is a ".MOV" file (indicated in the initial post).
Thanks for your help Akash.
Does that happen with all videos?
Would you be able to share a sample video from this camera with us(via Dropbox) so that we can try reproducing the issue at our end?
The sound is not playing, in Lightroom CC, with all video file types - .MOV, .mp4, and .avi, since I upgraded from CS6 to CC.
The problem is definitely not my camera. The videos were taken with iPhone, with Canon 7D and other cameras.
Is there a sound control in Lightroom, some basic setting that I am missing?
All of the files play fine in other video players.
Sorry, "Akash", did not mean to add the "i".
Are you able to export the video from Lightroom and the play it with sound?
