Trying to save a completed .prel project to share with a device

    bcselltime

I have used Premiere Elements 14 to edit down to a 1 hour 17 minute .prel file, and want to show it on my tv via a usb stick.  When I go through the export and share procedure to a device, it says it will take a little over 3 hours.  Is this normal.  Seems to be a very long time.

      Thanks for help.

          Yes!  It is normal.

It depends on the computer's strength, amount of RAM, rotational speed of disk drives, what kind of drives you have, the source of the footage, the number of adjustments, the effects and transitions.

A three to one ratio is not bad.  The very best and most expensive i7 computer with a boat load of memory and solid state drives will get about 1.5 to one on HD video with no adjustments, effects or transitions.

Video editing is the most demanding work any personal computer will do.
