    publish online - not working

    MWHvince

Working on a using Publish online for the first time...

Super simple and small test file. When I click Publish Online within InDesign...I get a dialogue box, make my selections and then hit Publish. It then brings up a pop up window that doesn't change. Nothing happens.what am I missing? I contacted online support [which was a joke]

          Hi,

Please see if following steps resolves your problem:

            1. Go to InDesign Help Menu and choose Sign-out.
            2. Restart InDesign and sign-in again.
            3. Try publishing your documents again.

          •

            1. If issue persists, disable the anti-virus software on your computer and restart InDesign.
            2. Try publishing your documents again.

          •

If the issue is still not resolved, check if the network proxy settings on your system are enabled.
            1. If they are enabled, disabled these settings.
            2. Try publishing your documents again.

          •

If issue still persists, try publishing your documents from another network. If publishing works on another network, then there might be some restrictions in your network to external domains. In this case, you need to whitelist the following Publish Online domains in your network:
            • cc-api-cp.adobe.io
            • s3*.amazonaws.com
            • indd.adobe.com

          Thanks

                Hi,

                1 - 2017.0 Release

2 - I click on Publish Online and I just get a blank white pop-up window which doesn't display anything. I can click enter which starts the process and then goes onto a progress bar to show progress. I am then presented with another blank window (see screenshot) which does not do anything.

3 - I do not have an error code.

Please follow the following steps and tell if it works for you.

                  If on MAC machine:

                       Go to ~/Library/Cache/CSXS/cep_cache

Delete all the contents in it

                  if on Windows machine:

                       Open Run--> Type %temp%,  Navigate to CEP_cache

Delete all the contents in it

Now try to publish your document again.

                  Thanks,

I have done this and reinstalled the application as well. This is still not fixed.

Have you tried restoring your InDesign preference? Reinstalling will not (by default) change your Preferences.

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

Thanks Steve, unfortunately this didn't work.

                        Staff, can you please help?

                          Hi theampatel,

Can you please check if there are any special characters in the path, where InDesign is installed.

Also please check, are you able to see Window->CC Library panel, or is it also coming blank?

If there are any special characters in install path, remove them and relaunch InDesign.

                          Regards

                          -Anshul

When I publish a document online as well it doesn't show up in my publications, and users I send it to are not able to see its functions, but are able to load it...

I am still struggling with this. It worked once, but seems to be inactive again. I really do need to resolve this issue and help would be appreciated.

I am now just getting a blank screen when I press the 'Publish Online' button. Screen Shot 2017-01-30 at 14.43.39.png

                                Hi theampatel,

Can you please confirm if you have tried the two workarounds suggested previously:

                                1. Check if there are any special characters in install path, if yes, then remove them and re-launch InDesign

                                2. And Clear the caches by following steps below

                                If on MAC machine:

                                     Go to ~/Library/Cache/CSXS/cep_cache

Delete all the contents in it

                                if on Windows machine:

                                     Open Run--> Type %temp%,  Navigate to CEP_cache

Delete all the contents in it

Let me know if you have tried them.

Also, please confirm if you are able to view CC Libraries panel properly.

                                Thanks,

                                Monica Singh

I can't delete the CEP_cache because in my Sierra 10.12.4. there is no "CSXS" named folder within any of the cache folders.

Publish Online is not working properly. I cannot delete uploaded files. The "Delete" window freezes.  Bildschirmfoto 2017-04-21 um 11.27.37.JPG

It remains frozen and is always there when I logoff/logon. Clicking on "Löschen" is not possible.
