.indb files are just a collection of pointers to the .indd document locations. Copying the .indb does not change the pointers. If you want a copy, use the package command, or create a new .indb and add the copied files to that.

Each copy is a waste of time to pack when it Do not have a definitive solution. Sometimes it works 4, 5,6,7 ... I have to keep more backups to make corrections.
Copying a file does not change the pointers to the links in that file. The ONLY way to make copies with copied links and update those links is to use the Package command.
