The catalogue has to be on a drive that is attached locally. That rules out NAS. You could keep the images on the NAS, though.
A possible solution would be to get a fast external drive and keep both your catalogue and images on it. That way you could easily use LR on either of your computers.
I had bought the My Cloud NAS to back up and have direct access to media from anywhere, so I could edit and keep all my images there. The plus was having access from within and when out of the house. I will have to use this as back up for all my media and purchase a separate external drive to place the images and LR Cat.

Just to reiterate what Hal said, you can indeed keep your images on the NAS. Just not the .lrcat catalog file.
If you want to be able to use LR from a different computer with the same images and catalog, you will need a strategy to mirror the catalog locally to each computer. A service like Dropbox or Google Drive would suffice. See this tutorial/video for more details:
