Can a pdf file in Acrobat Cloud be password locked?

    Dezbo

Just wondering if one can password lock a pdf file that resides in Acrobat Adobe Cloud? Perhaps that's a redundant question since one presumes that all files in Adobe cloud are protected in the sense that one must know the login credentials (username & Password) to sign in to Adobe Cloud?

          Hi,

All of the files that you uploaded to Adobe Document Cloud are accessible only to you (or the person who signs in with the unique credentials: username & password).  Nobody else has access to your cloud files.

Additionally, you can limit access to individual PDF documents by setting passwords using the desktop version of Acrobat Pro or Standard DC.

          Please note:

          • Acrobat Reader apps (for desktop and mobile) do not offer the capability of creating password-protected PDF documents.
          • Once PDF documents are password-protected, you will not be able to make changes (e.g. adding annotations, filling out forms) to the PDF documents using Acrobat Reader mobile apps (for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone).  This is a limitation in Acrobat Reader mobile apps only.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

          Thank you.

Thanks. Sounds like password protection is available only with pay for versions of Adobe like DC.
