    Old film effect

    Udo V

How do I use the old film effect without the flicker/strobe effect? I like all of the scratches, but I hate that in and out look.

You cannot have one without the other in this effect or

Make your own sepia tint and search the internet for a movie file with scratches and an alpha channel.

            Hello Udo V,

You can play with the Damage and Jitter settings of the Old Film effect by applying the effect onto the clip and then going to the Applied effects panel (which may be opened by going to Window->Applied Effects or can also be found on the right corner of the application).

Please tell us if that helped.

            Thanks

            Kamna

OP already knows how to use the film effect

But wants it without the flicker.

That is not possible as the scratches, the tint and the flicker are build in one slider...

If one turns down the slider (damage) the scratches are also gone which OP want to keep.
