The only thing that "works" for me is to create a new user. But I don't see how that is a solution? When are you planning on pushing out a new update that fixes this?

Have you tried all the steps, also have you tried creating new user account and check if that helps.
I too have this problem.
I cannot create a new user, the current user is the one I want to use.
This user account already has "write" permissions on all the folders mentioned.
Any other ideas?
