I share a computer, and my co-worker must have changed some setting that I never bothered with, but I'd like to set it back. Before, if I closed a file, I would see what ever was on the screen, like the desktop, open windows, files open in other programs, etc. Now, I get a gray background filling everything below the Control bar at the top. I can close the gray background if I use the normal Mac Close button, which also closes the Control bar, but I'd like to go back the way it was before. There must be a very basic setting that has been changed, but I'm not sure where it is. Can anyone help me?

Thanks, Steve. I knew it would be something simple.
