Is there a way to create multi-level styled bulleted lists (not numbers) in InDesign in the same paragraph style? I see you can choose levels with numbered lists or you can pick one bullet style, but I see no way to do these two things at once. Must you create separate paragraph styles? Thanks for the help!
I'm afraid it's not possible, you must have a different stylesheet for each levels of your bulleted list, for example if the bullet itself has a different shape or aspect. Levels in a numberd list is used for lists that go: 1. then 1.1. then 1.1.1 and so on but anyway you need different stylesheets as well to have a proper list design.
That's what I was guessing, but I was hoping it would be easier. Thanks for the reply!
I think it is not a big thing to create several Paragraph Styles, as you can make one as child of another (style based on another one), when you make changes to the parental style it will be inherited by its children, if not changes contradict your changes of the parental one.
