I have a secondhand MacBook Pro (2010) and mainly want to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 on it. Does a new SSD help to make Adobe work faster or won't that change anything? I read on a different forum that a new SSD only accelerates the startup of programs and the operating system. If that doesn't help, what would you recommend?
And is it right a new SSD is easy to install yourself? For example with a tutorial like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F82ThP-6jeA ?
Thanks a lot!
It will allow Premiere Pro to open faster. It will also allow you to lay multiple layers of the Red One R3D codec and even the Apple Pro Res codec. Having said, that for 4K it would be best to use a RAID drive for your media.
