    copyright images?

I have seen on photo websites where clicking on an image will display a popup message saying "All images are copywritten by their respective owners". So I can put text at the bottom of my images saying "(c) 2006 My Name", right?

At best an inconvenience; at worst, an annoyance. If you want to do a
copyright notice, put it in HTML at the bottom of the page.

Sure. 'Watermarking' is the term you want. Many photos you'll see on
the Net are watermarked in a more strategic area. See, for example,
          Google Maps images' watermarks.

Thanks. I'm showing off some pictures and they look very good. I shrunk them down from 3000 to 600x480, and I think the watermark will be good.
