A shortcut to enable/disable external video preview (via Mercury Transmit) already exists: / (slash) on the numerical keypad.
Before using it, make sure that you have specified the monitor or device you want to use in Preferences > Video Preview.
Thanks Tim! I tried the / (slash) on the main keyboard so that's what threw me off. Have a great day!
I got Logitech K380 keyboard without numeric pad.
Is there any other was to enable/disable Mercury transmit by shortcut on PC?
Tried to assign numeric pad / (with temp full profile keyboard) to Fn+F4 custom shortcut over Logitech Options software, but funny thing it registers Numpad / as -, so that option does not work.

I found solution
In "Adobe After Effects 14.1 Win en_US Shortcuts.txt" changed:
"ToggleTransmit" = "(PadSlash)(macControl+Shift+/)"
"ToggleTransmit" = "(PadSlash)(Alt+M)"
so it Alt+M for me.
Keyboard shortcut table is at:
this is very useful, thanks.
but is there a way to make this possible in AE CC 2018?
I can't see how to do it in the new keyboard shortcut panel and I can't locate any (...)Shortcuts.txt file on my system.

In the visual keyboard shortcut editor in After Effects 15.0, the command name is “Show Current Frame On External Monitor”. (This is a legacy string that was attached to the shortcut, automatically generated by the new keyboard shortcut editor. We should probably update that.) The default key is / (slash) on the number pad, as it has always been. (There is also an alternate default shortcut on Mac only, Control + Shift + / (main keyboard slash).)
If you need assistance with the visual keyboard shortcut editor, please read the Help article here:
> I can't locate any (...)Shortcuts.txt file on my system.
In combination with the new visual keyboard shortcut editor, the name of the keyboard shortcut files have changed. They are now stored in an “aeks" folder in the After Effects/15.0 preferences folder. The default file is named After Effects Default.txt, but using the visual keyboard shortcut editor UI you can create new shortcut files with your settings. By default, when you edit the shortcuts, the file will be named Custom.txt, but you can save it as a different name.
