I'm using Adobe premier and after effects. Unfortunately i don't have the link to get programs working together, yet. So for now i have to render something in premier before I can use it in after effects. But after placing and rendering a clip in after effects it's almost as the program itself has changed the color of the image? Is this just the loss of quality, am i messing up or am i missing something obvious?
It's quite annoying since its a notable difference. The upper one is the raw file, below is after render in after effects.

You definitely don't have to do that. In After Effects, instead of Import, choose the Import Premiere Pro Sequence command.
If you are using color management anywhere you have to use it everywhere. Color management is confusing and you must take some time to understand the process. I can't point you in the right direction because you have no detailed description of your workflow. I have no idea what kind of footage you are using or how AE or Premiere Pro is setup.
