Hi,
I would like to send a campaign to medical doctors. I cannot just call them by their names without using their title (Dr.).
When creating the mailing content, there are the following tags available:
{tag_recipientfirstname}
{tag_recipientlastname}
{tag_recipientname}
but there is no such tag as e.g. {tag_recipienttitle}
Is there a way to address the customer using his title?
Thanks
Hi Ginoem50
As the title tag is not available in the emailing module, we are creating a custom customer report and filter it by 'Title equals Dr' (or anything else, the dropdown will show all title options you have defined in the CRM).
Save the report as dr for example and you can add it to a mailing list or target the custom report in the
2. recipients
Send To:.
and hardcode the title in your email:
Dear Dr. {tag_recipientlastname}
The report is updated dynamically by BC.
Hope it helps

I've ran into the same issue recently.
Anyone have any workaround for this?

It doesn't answer your question, but you can call them all doctors by adding hard-coded "Dr. " in your email campaign template. Will non-doctors take this in evil part?

Hi Hartmut,
I tried it out and it works. Thank you.
The problen there is, that in German, Dr. alone is not possible, I would have to address correctly also using Mr. or Mrs.
The workaround I found was to use in the CRM the First name field and put there the correct way to address the client.
This is not really a good thing to do as this "destroys" my data base, but at least it works.
Thank you, Hermann
