Thank you, Mohit, for your speedy reply to my question. Unfortunately that is not the problem. I'm sure I clicked on Custom Package at some point, but I soon realized that Single Image/Contact Sheet was the correct answer. I've rebooted several times but no luck.
Any other ideas?
Reset Lightroom preferences back to defaults.
Press the shift + option keys immediately after you restart Lightroom, and select Reset Preferences from the resulting dialog box.
I have a PC, not a Mac. My keyboard does not have an Option key. What should I use instead?
Use the control key instead!
Sorry, guys, when I start Lightroom and immediately hit the shift+control keys, I do not get a dialog box. Instead, Lightroom opens in the normal way. In addition, I went to Edit>Preferences to check all the different kinds of preference options, but I didn't find a restore defaults option. ???

Alt + Shift
Command (Mac) = Control (PC)
Option (Mac) = Alt (PC)

Thank you, John, for the correct instructions to restore default preferences. I followed the instructions from LightroomQueen and clicked YES to restore defaults. Unfortunately that didn't resolve the problem--I still get a blank screen when I move to the Print module.
FYI, when I choose one of my saved prints, that image appears. The problem seems to be moving from the Library and/or Develop modules to the Print module.
FYI, I just figured out the problem. When I was creating a contact sheet, I used "select flagged photos" to indicate the desired images to include. When I returned to printing single images, I forgot to turn off that feature, and return to "selected image" for printing. Hence the problem. Now it seems to be working fine!
