Could you please post a screenshot of your layers & character inside CH?
Nice character! It's a little hard to see the layer names so I can't tell exactly what's going on, but it sounds like it's probably a simple organization / naming fix...
This tutorial might help (if you haven't seen it already): Building A Puppet From Scratch (Adobe Character Animator Tutorial)
One thing I noticed are the white dots below the wheelchair - any disconnected "islands" like this can cause trouble. Try erasing those and see if it helps.
If I run into issues like this, I'll save a copy of my puppet and try deleting things - sometimes it's just one layer that's throwing everything off. So I might just delete the body in my copy, and try to get the head working first. Once I diagnose the problem I can make the appropriate change in the original file. Eventually we'll have more tools to do more of this inside CH itself.
If you're still having trouble, would it be possible to attach your PSD here? Or you can email to me: werner at adobe dot com. Thanks!
Just to follow up - Chris sent me his character and there were two main issues:
- Naming / organization: A few layers weren't perfect: "eye brow" as opposed to "eyebrow", a separate outline layer inside the head that was warping with it, and a couple of other small issues.
- Selecting the puppet in the puppet panel and going to the right properties panel and changing mesh shape to "contour" helped a lot with this particular puppet. Any time your art might have stray specks or hollow parts inside of it, contour tends to be a more reliable fit.
Both of these will be easier in the next public release. Hope that helps!
john is a lot better now thank you so much for taking time to help me
