I bought the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) with the AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB graphics card.
Processor 4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
I presumed it would be fantastic with Premier pro but NO! It is not compatible which I found out after many head ache and frustration. I presumed Premier would be on top of having its software function without the latest Mac but 5 months down the track there is no solution.
Apple are not aware of this card not supporting Premier, I have even had a case escalated to the Apple engineering department. They say they have no known issues reported, so if others can report this to them we may get things rolling from Apples side.
I have the same problems, and have posted a few messages about it before, on this phorum.
Had a couple of rounds with Adobe Support as well, and they said that there would come updates from Apple that would fix the problem.
No updates from Apple, and none from Adobe so far.
I guess there is thousands of iMacs with this configuration out there, and i wonder why nothing happens? Adobe?
oh me too! There must be many, many iMac users with this issue. I can not understand why the issue has not been resolved. I thought these iMacs have been out since Nov 2015. That means that is at least 5 months for Premier to sort it out.
The engineering department at Apple say they are NOT aware of it being an issue and have not had complaints about the graphics card. It works fine with other things so they say it is a software issue from Premiers side. So It seems that Apple is NOT working on it....They said it would be between AMD and Premier to sort out.
