    "Vignette" into a bitmap image

    7of10 Level 1
I'm probably not describing this right (nor searching for it right), but I'm looking for an example or some guidance on how to create an object (sprite?) that acts as a window onto a larger bitmap image (i.e., a vignette). For example, let's say I have a 50x500 bitmap that I want to display a 50x50 vignette, then be able to change the "start position" so I can show any portion of the 50x500 bitmap, 50x50 at a time.

This seems like such a basic thing to do in Flex that I can't help thinking I'm just missing something...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

look for "mask" in the help.
