InDesign how to handle Arabic and multi-language in one paragraph?
English: Elastomultiester (Lycra®T400®)
Chinese T.: 複合聚酯彈性纖維 (Lycra®T400®)
Result: I have changed the Arabic character setting to RTL, but "Lycra" and "T400" can not show correct direction.
I have tried World Tools and ScribeDOOR, but it can not correctly show the text direction if the Arabic included English and number.
You have to apply a LTR character style to English text.
Be sure, to choose a World Composer in Justify in the Paragraph Style's definition.
It works fine if you leave Character Directions to "Default", make sure you have any of the Adobe World Ready composers selected (this is a must), then type your Arabic بولي استر مطاطي , open parentheses while in Arabic language switch to English, type Lycra T400, now switch to Arabic again and close parentheses. Manually position your computer cursor to type ® in position using English.
