If you are using book document, make sure page numbering view is set to: section numbering in indesign preferences>general
No I'm not using the book document. However yes it was alredy set to
section numbering. The problem persist.
I tried with the numbering and section option but it didn't work.
What was the wrong result?
Also, did you have the page that you wanted to become Page 100 selected when you tried it?
So what I'm doing is:
selecting the page that I want the page numbering to start
Opening numbering and section options and tick start page numbering at..
and I insert the page number that I have selected
Then I press ok but nothing changes
Actually now after I press okay it comes a window with warning saying: a
page number in this section already exist in another section.......
If you don't need the numbering in the other sections, you can go to page one of the other section(s) and change their page numbering style to avoid the conflict. (There are lots of choices in the drop-down list)
If you do need numbering in all the sections, you can add a section prefix (which you can choose to not have show on the page)
Okay thak you. I managed to do it!
