- What OS?
- What ID version?
- How did you install InDesign on the first place, when you installed it on your current computer?
Google is your friend. A quick search turns up lots of results.
Only posting 3 because you can use Google to find the rest.
I am using OS X El Capitan 10.11.3
I have been here for about 5 years and InDesign was already installed, we belong to Adobe Creative Cloud and upgrades are part of the package.
I am using an iMac
We upgraded our server recently and after doing so, it seems that there is a glitch between communicating. In all Adobe programs we use (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) it causes me a lot of trouble saving or exporting.
It seems like my connection times out throughout the day. I am still connected, but until I shut the computer down and restart, there are various times when I can’t do anything except save to my own desktop. I think the trouble is the server and my iMac communicating properly.
Not sure how to fix this issue. I am not so sure that it has anything to do with the Adobe programs. They all seem to work fine, I just get that error when opening older projects and revising them.
I wouldn’t want to reinstall InDesign because the version we would have on disc would be so old, it would take forever to download to the latest CC2015
If you move the files to your local computer, do you have problems?
Since the problem is "we upgraded our server recently". It would be impossible for us to try to diagnose server problems. Your IT person would have to solve that problem.
Thank you so much for trying….no my computer has no issues whatsoever.
I can save, do PDFs, etc. off of my own desktop and there is no issues.
