Hello.  I am using Captivate 8 and have 3 short answer slides (set to survey).  I would like to use these responses in a timeline interaction on another slide for the user to review their answers. Is there a way to capture and reuse the answers they typed into the survey slides on another slide?

You could have used the Scrolling Text interaction, because it can have an associated variable that will store the content of the Scrolling text (up till a maximum number of characters).

But, although you can insert such a variable on another slide, using the X button in the Character part of the Properties panel of a text container, you cannot insert a variable in the content fields of a learning interaction like the Timeline, sorry.

Thank you for your quick reply Lilibiri.  The scrolling text interaction may be the way to go.  Will the answers the user enters into the scrolling text interaction report to an LMS?

You talked about survey questions, they are not reported. User variables reported to a LMS depends on the LMS itself, some do, some don't.
