Hi jims ,
Please refer Recover catalog and images after resetting preferences in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and let us know if that helps you getting your images back.
Also did you recently backed up Lightroom>
Sounds like you have inadvertently created a new catalog.
Go to File > Open recent, your original catalog should be listed there.
Thanks Per Berntsen I got my catalog back. Now I have ? on my folders and ! on the uper right hand corner of the pictures?
Have you created several catalogs? If so, try to open each of them from File > Recent, and see if that makes any difference.
If you are sure that the catalog you have open now is the correct one - you have moved, renamed, or deleted the missing files and folders outside of Lightroom, which means it can no longer find them.
Another possibility is that the images reside on an external disk which is not connected, in which case you just need to connect the disk.
Otherwise, you have to right click the folders with question marks, and point Lightroom to the correct location.
If you have a parent folder containing all the other folders, right clicking this folder may be enough.
Alternatively, using Windows Explorer or Finder, move the folders back to their original location.
