Could you try to install an AIR app. downloaded from internet ?
Could you get an installation log and post it?
To get the log, create a .airappinstall.log file in your home directory.
Also, please tell us what OS you use.
I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.
The log file just says the following: ECHO is on.
I have tried to install a range of air applications online but have only been able to get one to install successfully. The app that installs correctly is called Twit Live Desktop.
Any ideas what is going wrong here?
Just to clarify,
The log file says ECHO is on. even after I run a new install.
I was not clear. I would like to have you install an AIR application that you downloaded from internet, not install directly online. I want to find out if it is your AIR Runtime has problem or your exported AIR file has problem.
Okay I've been able to download and install several applications now and they all appear to be working fine so I am thinking the problem is with my exported AIR file?
I have now tried to export several different small applications and none of them will install. Every one just gives me the same message saying "This application requires a version of Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) which is no longer supported. Please contact the application author for an updated version".
Could you mail one of your AIR files to me? I can take a look at it.
I sent you a private message before with my email address.
