Unfortunately it affects all InDesign docs..
Does it happen if you start the Mac in Safe Mode (Hold down the Shift Key while booting)? If you log on in a new user account?

Hi, i've been back on site and it seems like the error is not reproducable when started in safe mode with the same user.
When I login with another user trying to reproduce the error it doesn't occure. So it seems like the error is user-based.
Any suggestions about what to do next Peter Spier?
It sounds like a user problem, but I think not in the actual user files since it goes away in Safe mode. That generally indicates a software conflict, and my guess would be that the primary user is running something in the background not being run by the new user. Browser plugins (especially in Chrome), are known to cause trouble in ID.
