Can someone tell me why is it that my 'highlighted' notes in digital editions all go missing?

Yesh I have spend the last 2 weeks going through my University textbook in digital editions and this is the 2nd time that it all goes missing!?

Can someone tell me why and how can I go about restoring it if it's even possible?
