How do you insert the data?
With the given fields or do you write the code?
Did you test with several QR reader apps? (I experienced that the results are different, depending on the geographical area where you test it.)
I have inserted the data with the fields in Indesin. No code touching.
I have tested it with several free QR code reader on iphones. I had always the same result. I'm from Austria, working for a global company. So the code should work with world wide.
I am also an Austrian and I have experienced different results for the same QR readers in Austria and in Germany. Some readers replace national datas with the results of the geographical point where you are.
But another problem could be, that the QR is simply to small. Did you check, if you make it larger. Be sure to use only Black and a distance to the surrounding graphics or text.
Last but not at least: Reset InDesign's preferences.
All codes that I'm generating with other generators are working very well. The problem occurs with different sizes.
Any other ideas?
… The problem occurs with different sizes. …
Can you explain that a little bit more, plz?
I made the QR code as huge as possible on a CV Card. After at least 10 to 15 try’s, the QR Code reader can read it. I tried it with 8 QR Code reader. When I generate the code with any other program, it will work always with any read also when I use a size below 2,5cm.
I'd like to avoid to use an externa QR Code generator.
Ok, after a while with testing the solution is that szize does matter, at least in this case.
If the QR Code is at a size of 2,8cm it can be raead by most QR Code reader in the App Store.
So try to stay at or above this size and you don't have to worry about it.
