What font types are you using?
Is there are reason why you install all fonts? It will slow down any system.
I am a designer and need a lot of fonts installed as I work on many projects and brands.
Slowing the software down, I understand, my previous InDesign also lagged as I browsed fonts. However if a font was no good, it will just not render.
Format-wise they are:
PostScript Type 1 outline font ( LWFN )
FFIL (Font Suitcase)
occasionally some SCR & SUIT (Font Suitcase)
In addition, do you recommend a certain font explorer software which works better with Adobe Suite programs? I am just using Font Book right now.
Remove T1 fonts, they have no future and cause problems.
Thank you, Willi.
So you are saying PostScript Type 1 outline font ( LWFN ) is one to avoid.
Does that mean that these files are ok: FFIL, SCR, SUIT (Font Suitcase)?
Lastly when it comes to software for managing fonts do you have any recommendations on what to use? Any software that can help in flagging (police) problematic/bad fonts? One that works well with InDesign
I use FontBook and my colleague used Font Explorer X Pro right now.
