Thanks for the reply but that doesn't answer my question. All I need to know is that what direction do I need to go down to make sure my eCommerce site works on a server? Im going to use Go Daddy. I've found no video tutorials that include the latest version of Dreamweaver on creating an eCommerce site.
Basically my question is what language will i need to use? Ruby or something similar to this?
Duhh??!! I thought that I read
My question is where is this in CC? I'm using the latest version.
Back to being serious,
- Dreamweaver has zero input on creating an eCommerce site, it is merely a tool to help you get there.
- As far as I know, Go Daddy comes with a PHP server and as such you would be best off using PHP as the server side programming language along with its trusted MySQL database.
Have you had a look at the WordPress Ecommerce tutorial on Lynda.com? For this here will be no need for Dreamweaver.
If you do want to use Dreamweaver, please refer to my reply to your other post where you could use the MySQLi extension.
Ah that's what I'm after, thank you. The way the conversation was going it sounded like php and MySQL wasnt the way to go And servers were not going to support them soon. I know dreamweaver has nothing to do with that and I just needed to make sure going down the php and MySQL route wasn't going to be a waste of time. I know what to do now, thanks man for taking the time to reply.
